Love this Prof. I personally think rubrics can serve as a guide but not as the "sole determiner" when assessing learners. Instructors will have to make rubrics more flexible and in my own experience, I actually co-construct assessment criteria with my students, so that they are aware of the overall goal of any assessment. Not merely to get "points" or "grades".
